New Year’s Eve crash results in serious injuries, arrest

Serious car accident occurred on New Year’s Eve

A New Year’s Eve crash in Lakewood has resulted in three people being seriously injured and one person under arrest. The crash occurred on West Alameda Ave. near South Vance St. The driver in a Toyota FJ Cruiser was on West Alameda when he crashed into several cars and then head on into a truck at the intersection of West Alameda and South Vance. One person was ejected from their vehicle and three people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Toyota tried to leave the scene of the crash but was stopped by onlookers. He is now facing felony charges and drugs and speed are believed to be contributors to the crash.
