Commercial And Civil Mediation

Mediation And Arbitration — Jon Bradley

As a trained and experienced mediator, I have helped innumerable Colorado businesses and individuals resolve their differences out of court. My goal as the neutral third party is to help the parties work toward a settlement that both sides are comfortable accepting, while also saving them significant time, expense, and stress associated with trial. I have had a very high success rate in resolving the disputes in the mediations I have conducted.

I am also available to act as an arbitrator of most legal disputes. I am a trained arbitrator and attended and completed the training session of the American Arbitration Association.

If you or your business is involved in a legal dispute, it is in your best interests to resolve the problem in a way that is as cost-effective as possible. Mediation and Arbitration are good alternate dispute resolution options. From our office in Golden, Colorado, the law firm of Bradley Devitt Haas & Watkins, P.C., provides experienced and effective mediation and arbitration services.

Arbitration Explained

Arbitration is a form of alternative dispute resolution that provides an alternative to litigation, which can be time-consuming and expensive. It is somewhat similar to a trial, in that the parties present arguments to a neutral third party who issues a final binding decision.

However, the third party is not a judge; he or she is a person selected by the parties to be the arbitrator. Also, the proceedings may be less formal than a trial. The parties often agree in advance to use arbitration in case of a dispute.

Substantial Savings

Arbitration is often much cheaper and faster than going to trial. Though it is not appropriate in every case, arbitration generally takes less time than litigation, taking months instead of years to complete. Many cases settle shortly before the arbitration hearing, resolving the matter even more quickly. This can save you a great deal in court and legal fees.

Our attorneys have helped numerous clients use arbitration in their commercial and civil matters. We offer effective representation, or we can serve as the arbitrator in your case.
